About ColorByFeliks
My name is Feliks Kaparchuk, I was born in 1990 in Rostov, Russia and moved to the United States in 1997. My love for art began in middle school, first with drawing, which quickly transitioned into painting after taking my first art class freshman year of high school. I have been painting with acrylics ever since then, about 14 years.
I had the opportunity to study art and design at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, Washington for about one year, where I learned how to mix color and find my style although I am mostly self-taught. My main medium is acrylic on canvas, but I also enjoy painting on wood panel and vinyl records. I love to add vibrant and whimsical colors to each piece which is why I would call my painting style a mix between realism and impressionism. I love to use bright colors and focus on the details of each painting that really bring the piece to life and makes each one unique. Over the years, I have developed my own blending technique using a mop brush to make my backgrounds and colors blend smoothly.
In 2015, I had the opportunity to make a move to New York and study art by working in galleries. Now, I am back living in my hometown of Washington State, where I am inspired by the mountains, vibrant sunsets over the ocean, pine trees, bible verses, music, and everything else around me. The Pacific Northwest, specifically Seattle, has been my home ever since, and I continue to be inspired by the beautiful environment daily.
In the spring of 2017 I opened up my art Instagram page (@colorbyfeliks) where I have been sharing my work for a little over 2 years. I enjoy making time-lapse videos that demonstrate my process to my audience of supporters, something which I never imagined, but am grateful to be able to share my art journey and help inspire so many people.

I also really enjoy teaching my painting techniques through tutorials on YouTube which are posted every Thursday morning. I've found it is an awesome way to be able to give back to growing artists.
I am honored to have art patrons all over the world. In 2018, I have sold over 35 pieces just in the U.S. as well as many internationally including: Canada, Paris (multiple), Monaco, Sweden, Mexico, Denmark, Germany, and Russia (multiple).
Thank you for visiting my website and I am blessed to have found such wonderful support in this art community! Take care & God bless :)
