2022 New Year Update

Happy New Year, Friends! 🎉

2022 is going to be the most exciting year ever for ColorByFeliks, and I don’t say that lightly! I know this post is a little late, but Andrea, myself, and our awesome business team have been tirelessly planning what we’re going to do this year to bring you more art, more learning, more inspiration, and more FUN, 🥳 and we wanted to make sure the plan was solid before we shared 😎.

I can’t wait to show you what we’ve got in store. Stick around to the end for a REALLY big announcement.

Sharing The Spotlight! 👩🏼‍🎨👨🏽‍🎨

You’ve probably heard me say this before, but ColorByFeliks is not about me. I’m thankful for each and every one of you and your support that has allowed my social media presence to grow so big. At the end of the day, however, why have such a large platform if I can’t share it?

The world is full of talented artists making beautiful paintings (and art in every other medium as well!), but who haven’t yet been discovered by a bigger audience. Our goal is to seek out those artists and give them as much exposure as possible.

We do this through our CBF Presents series, where talented artists give step-by-step art tutorials to you. Not only do you get to learn new techniques from a variety of artists, but I get to share my audience with these artists. Everybody wins!

In 2022, expect to see even more CBF Presents painting tutorials from artists around the world, as well as tutorials in other mediums and maybe even other languages! If you or someone you know is a talented artist and would love to teach my audience, send me a DM on Instagram (I am looking for more experienced artists to teach, so please keep that in mind when messaging 😎).

Sharing YOUR Art! 📆

[Art by @_dr.shubhu_patel.9 , who recently shared this for Free Friday]

It’s all about you! You may have noticed that every single Friday, I’m sharing original artwork from artists in my community; we’re calling this Free Friday! Again, my goal is to get your art in front of as many people as possible and give you the chance to make new connections with people who enjoy your work! 😊

Anyone can submit regardless of skill level or artistic medium; all you have to do is follow @colorbyfeliks.community on Instagram and send me your art every Thursday when you see the countdown in my stories. I’ll pick at least 20 a week, and you can submit every week!

I love seeing what you’re working on, and I know others will too. As always, please go to the Instagram pages of your favorite artists when they share and give them likes, follows, and nice comments; don’t keep your love of their work to yourself! ❤️

Let Me Mentor You! 👨🏼‍🏫

Want to take your art education to the next level? I developed the Mentorship program specifically for you!

This is a monthly subscription where you get access to a new in-depth step-by-step painting tutorial every month (usually 2.5 to 3 hours long) as well as access to my private ColorByFeliks Academy group on Facebook.

That group is the one place I’m most active on social media, and we share work and help each other out with our creative processes. There are already over a thousand happy members sharing their art and encouraging each other every day!

This year, my team and I are doing everything we can to make the Mentorship experience even better. Sign-ups are currently closed but will open again soon. To make sure you know exactly when they open, click here to follow my newsletter.

Life In The Tropics! 🌴🏖

This is just a tiny announcement in the grand scheme of things, but Andrea and I moved to Puerto Rico and we love it here! The people are awesome and we love the weather. Thank you for the warm welcome to your island!

It’s been a crazy month getting all our stuff over here and getting settled, so that’s why you haven’t seen as much art from me as usual recently.

BUT I’m insanely excited to see how the island inspires my art going forward. I think living here will inspire a lot of landscapes as well as abstract art, and who knows what else! Between living in Russia and Washington State, I’ve been in the cold North my whole life 🥶. I’m really looking forward to seeing what effect the tropics have on my art! 🥥

I mentioned at the beginning of this blog that I have a BIG announcement for you at the end…so here it comes…

...Are you ready!? 😬

🎉WE’RE DOING A PODCAST🎉

Andrea and I realized that we have so much we want to say about art, and not enough space to say it on social media alone. I’m fascinated by the creative process, and Andrea is one of the most knowledgeable people about the business of art that I’ve ever met, so we figured why not talk about all that and more every week?

We plan on doing a couple of episodes with just us and a good friend, and then after that, we’ll be interviewing artists from all over the world! We’ve been very blessed to have such a supportive audience, and this is just another opportunity to share that audience with other artists.

What’s going to make our podcast special is that we plan on interviewing artists of all levels of experience. Yes, it’s nice to hear from experts, but I also think it’s so incredibly valuable to hear from artists who have only been doing it for a little while and to hear about their challenges and victories. I think that we can learn valuable lessons from all artists and I can’t wait to start interviewing you guys!

You could be the next artist on our podcast! If you’re an artist and live in Puerto Rico, or even if you’re just coming through for vacation, send me a direct message on Instagram and we may be able to set up an interview. Again, experience level doesn’t matter; all we want is someone talkative who’s comfortable speaking at length about art!

This is the biggest project I’ve worked on in a long time and I can’t wait to share this podcast with you! I think it’s going to be very special. ❤️

Whew! That was a lot to get through, but we did it! Thank you for sticking around till the end, and I can’t wait to bring you all of this and more in 2022. Please let me know in the comments below what you’d like to see more of this year or what you’d like to hear us discuss on the podcast.

Thank you all; I couldn’t do this without your support and I look forward to giving back as much as possible this year! ❤️

Many blessings,

Feliks K.
